My client is a leading fund of funds manager and investment advisory firm offering portfolio management and financial planning services. They are seeking a Senior Portfolio Manager to join their Hong Kong operations with the following responsibilities:

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Work closely with the CIO on global portfolios and hedge fund research
  • Conduct research into asset classes associated with major markets
  • Perform detailed quantitative and qualitative analysis on non-Asia hedge funds
  • Conduct due diligence on non-Asia fund managers, produce detailed investment memos for Investment Committee’s approval
  • On-going monitor invested funds with detailed call / meeting notes

 

Requirements:

 

  • 15+ years of relevant experience working in the Hedge Fund and/or Fund of Funds industry with solid Derivatives knowledge
  • Degree holder in Engineering, Physics, Finance, Investment, Accounting or related discipline; CFA and/or MBA is an advantage
  • Willing to learn with an open mind, strong team player, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly disciplined, self-motivated, well-organized, mature and able to work independently
  • Attention to details and meticulous
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Mandarin Chinese are preferred.

Responsibilities include:

Benefits & Wellbeing Administration:
  • Provide administrative support for benefits, wellbeing, and compensation programs (health, retirement, time off, perks, salary adjustments, promotions, retention bonuses).

In this role, you will focus on building and optimizing infrastructure for pricing, risk management, and P&L calculation. You will collaborate with Quantitative Modellers to enhance core models and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize systems for pricing, risk, and P&L calculations.
  • Partner with Quantitative Modellers to refine pricing models and tools.
  • Create solutions to meet regulatory reporting requirements (FRTB IMA).
  • Contribute to both end-of-day and real-time risk and P&L calculations.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines for market data and pricing support.
