Key Responsibilities
- Manage mission-critical systems in high-stress situations
- Be versatile and willing to wear multiple hats as needed
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members
- Mentor and guide Junior Engineers while fostering best practices
- Work independently, showcasing a strong sense of ownership and self-drive
- Able to work independently for a given project around Cloud, DevOps and SRE functions.
- Configure and manage various AWS services like VPC, Transit Gateway, EC2, S3, Athena, Glue, DynamoDB, Lambda, ECS, EKS etc.
- Good understanding of microservices framework, and how an app can be containerised and pushed to cloud.
- Strong DevOps, who can manage entire CI | CD flow in automated fashion, plus manage entire GitHub lifecycle via code.
- Strong expertise in infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Crossplane
- Ability to design and engineer AWS network services.
- Good understanding of security best practices to protect cloud infrastructure and data
- Experience with GitHub actions, AWS CodePipeline or similar tools.
- Optimize cloud costs and recommend cost-saving measures.
- Collaborate with Developers and Portfolio Managers with Business first mindset.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, related field, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in managing and scaling infrastructure
- Be present at the office at least 4 times a week
- Integration experience with financial systems such as Bloomberg API (Strong plus)
- Proficiency in at least one JVM language (Java, Kotlin, Scala)
- Experience with Python or Rust
- Track record of developing complex distributed systems or building sizable applications from scratch
