This is a permanent position. We're looking for an experienced Engineering Manager or Team Leader specialising in trading systems and platform infrastructure. In this role, you will shape and execute the infrastructure roadmap, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

Your focus will be on architecting and deploying scalable, low-latency solutions to support high-frequency trading operations. Overseeing integration of on-premises systems and cloud environments. Managing the on-premises infrastructure, including data centers and exchange colocation sites.

Additionally, you will establish robust incident management protocols to guarantee 24/7 system availability while driving the adoption of automation and advanced monitoring tools to minimize downtime and operational overhead. Continuously optimizing performance, cost efficiency, and operational effectiveness across the infrastructure stack will be central to your mission.

Requirements

 

  • Current or prior team leader/manager with expertise in high-frequency trading environments
  • Hands on experience in Linux systems, DevOps tools, Terraform or Ansible, Kubernetes, SRE tools
  • Expertise in low-latency networks, switches and routers.
  • Active development skills in programming languages such as Golang, Python, or Rust.

This is a permanent position with a global consultancy and sits at a senior/director level. As an individual contributor, you will play a pivotal role in building out and enhancing their cyber security practice, leveraging your deep technical expertise and strong consultancy background to drive their business forward.   • Play a critical role in the hiring, mentoring, and development of future team members as the practice grows. Cultivate a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to both clients and internal teams. Stay abreast of technological advancements and cybersecurity threats to keep our offerings at the cutting edge.

 

Qualification

  • Minimum of 15 years in IT and Security, with at least 5 years in a consultancy role. Proven track record of engaging with C-level executives, ideally within the financial services industry.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are preferred.
  • Strong foundational knowledge in cyber security methodologies and technologies.
  • Experience in designing and implementing security solutions across various platforms and environments.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to articulate complex security concepts to a variety of audiences, from technical experts to non-technical decision-makers.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to operate independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Experience in leading cross-functional teams and projects is highly desirable.
