This is a permanent position with a global consultancy and sits at a senior/director level. As an individual contributor, you will play a pivotal role in building out and enhancing their cyber security practice, leveraging your deep technical expertise and strong consultancy background to drive their business forward. This role requires someone with deep technical knowledge ideally having been an engineer or leading engineering teams previously.
Responsibilities
- Establish and drive the strategy for cyber security solutions across the APAC region. Understand regional nuances and develop tailored solutions that address specific market needs.
- Collaborate with global and regional teams to design and refine cyber security offerings. Ensure that solutions are both innovative and aligned with current and emerging security trends.
- Engage with C-level executives across potential and existing client organizations, particularly within the financial services sector, to understand their security challenges and propose bespoke solutions.
- Work closely with the sales team to identify business opportunities, participate in client pitches, and deliver compelling demonstrations and presentations that clearly articulate the value proposition of our solutions.
- Position yourself as a thought leader in the cyber security domain by speaking at industry conferences, publishing whitepapers, and conducting webinars.
- Play a critical role in the hiring, mentoring, and development of future team members as the practice grows. Cultivate a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the team.
- Provide technical guidance and support to both clients and internal teams. Stay abreast of technological advancements and cybersecurity threats to keep our offerings at the cutting edge.
Qualification
- Minimum of 15 years in IT and Security, with at least 5 years in a consultancy role. Proven track record of engaging with C-level executives, ideally within the financial services industry.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are preferred.
- Strong foundational knowledge in cyber security methodologies and technologies.
- Experience in designing and implementing security solutions across various platforms and environments.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to articulate complex security concepts to a variety of audiences, from technical experts to non-technical decision-makers.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to operate independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Experience in leading cross-functional teams and projects is highly desirable.
