As a Scrum Master, you bring deep expertise in Agile methodologies, coupled with a passion for coaching, mentoring, and continuous improvement. Working within highly collaborative Agile teams, you will drive efficiency by guiding teams on Agile values, metrics, and best practices to accelerate value delivery. In partnership with the Product Owner, you will manage backlogs, eliminate impediments, and facilitate Agile ceremonies to ensure smooth execution. This role often involves coordinating cross-functional teams with interdependencies to deliver seamless, integrated solutions to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with the Product Owner to prioritize and execute work aligned with the product roadmap.
- Drive Agile maturity within teams by identifying opportunities for process improvement and coaching team members on Agile best practices.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and Scrum of Scrums, ensuring they are productive and outcome-driven.
- Track and analyze squad performance metrics (e.g., burndown charts) to maintain transparency and support continuous improvement.
- Act as a servant leader, fostering collaboration, open communication, and a culture of high performance within Agile teams.
- Balance multiple priorities while ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
- Participate in a community of practice, sharing knowledge and driving Agile excellence across teams.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Scrum Master certification required (advanced certification preferred).
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
- Extensive experience working within Agile technology teams, with a strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) and tools (JIRA).
- Ability to coach and mentor teams, fostering an Agile mindset and driving continuous improvement.
- Strong stakeholder management and the ability to navigate complex team dynamics.
