I am looking for a Lead Full Stack Engineer (Director level), to join my client who is a leading investment bank based in London. This role sits within their front office team where you will be working on electronic trading systems so experience in this area is essential.
 

Key responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust and high-performance back end systems using Java or Kotlin.
  • Lead the creation and integration of microservices.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of development processes and best practices.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features.
  • Manage and lead distributed development teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Optimize application performance and resolve complex issues.
  • Communicate technical concepts and project progress to stakeholders and non-technical team members.

Our client in the financial services industry is seeking an experienced Lead Platform/Enterprise Architect to join their team on a 12-month contract in Dublin. This role involves leading the design and implementation of infrastructure solutions that align with industry standards and organizational goals.

In this role, you will analyze infrastructure needs, gather requirements, and design robust systems that comply with security, scalability, and reliability standards. You'll oversee the creation and upkeep of architectural documents, manage the implementation of infrastructure components using best practices, and lead the development of new standards. Additionally, you will assess new technologies for potential adoption, ensuring our systems are both current and future-ready.

Essential Experience:

  • Proven experience in infrastructure architecture, particularly with f5 and other load balancers.
  • Hands-on expertise in implementing Zero Trust and network microsegmentation.
  • Extensive knowledge in Application Architecture Fundamentals and Middleware Technologies including DNS, Tomcat, and Microservices.
  • Proficient in Load Balancers, Networking Fundamentals, and Infrastructure/Application Security.

This contract role requires a hybrid working arrangement, with the need to be present in the Dublin office few days a week.
