STEP Software Developer

We are looking for a STEP Software Developer to join our client in the Zurich area.

In this role, you'll be responsible for understanding business needs, designing and deploying solutions in Stibo Systems STEP, and ensuring smooth integration with other systems. You'll also work on optimizing data management processes, collaborate with various teams for effective implementation, maintain high data quality, and provide technical guidance and support to users with clear documentation.

If you bring over 5 years of experience in PIM/MDM systems, particularly Stibo Systems STEP, along with strong skills in JavaScript, Java, HTML, and CSS, system integration, data modeling, application customization, and scripting, plus familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, and XSLT, a background in agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban, and fluency in English, we want to hear from you! We are seeking an experienced Django Developer to join our client in Zurich and assist in the development of an e-business platform.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with the team and engage directly with customers to implement advanced e-business projects. Your expertise will help enhance our Django-based platform while identifying opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling to existing clients. You will also have the opportunity to lead pre-sales activities, conduct workshops, and share your knowledge.

The ideal candidate is a Python developer with significant experience in web development using Django. Proficiency in JavaScript (HTMX, AlpineJS), SQL databases (preferably PostgreSQL), and familiarity with Linux and Docker for deployment is required. Experience working directly with stakeholders and customers is a plus.

Fluency in German is required! Candidates without fluent German knowledge cannot be considered.

In this role, you will be part of an Agile team consisting of developers, testers, and UI/UX designers. Together, you will translate business requirements into low-maintenance, user-friendly, and scalable web applications for IoT.

To be considered for this role, you should have several years of experience developing modern web applications using JavaScript and TypeScript and be proficient in using frameworks like Node.js, React, and Tailwind.
